Betty & Gary
Betty Overstreet has always loved to sing, from the time she was a little girl in Oklahoma until today. She realized she also enjoyed writing songs so her career as a Songwrtier/ singer began shaping up. She visited Nashville in 1988 for a recording session with Vern Pratt. The song, "Let the Sandman wait' rose to the Top 100 by the end of the year.
She spent a number of years entertaining in the Bay Area at local festivals, events, and a few bars (which she quickly realized singing there was not her cup of tea).
She met Gary Overstreet at church and within a couple of years they were wed and he became her partner in music, as well as life.
She began adding Gospel songs to her love of writing as well as Country Western and now enjoys when they have Gospel concerts in churches.
Betty has received awards for some of her songs from the Akademia Music Awards in Pasadina, Ca and Northwest Alabama Songwriters Contest.
Her desire is for other Artists to love her songs enough to want to record them.
