People came to hear us!!
We started out from our home in California on September 12th. It took us several days to reach our first music engagement in Colorado Springs, Co.
Our wonderful hosts while there were Les & Ginny Wait, members of Roswell Community Church. We were welcomed at the church by many wonderful people. If you are ever in Colorado Springs and need a church to attend-go there!

Next stop, Independence Missouri!! Coventry Estates Baptist Church was also full of great Christian people. We held a Concert on Wednesday evening and met with the Senior Fellowship on Thursday for a Luncheon. The big surprise of the day was when Gary's cousin Janice Krey walked into the sanctuary about half way through our concert. We also met another Overstreet, Peggy, who is an author I met on the Internet a year or so ago. No relation, but really nice people. She and her husband, Doug, invited us to there home for dinner.
Our hostess while staying in Independence was Elizabeth Eulinger. She insisted on providing us a tour of the downtown area in a "Covered Wagon" driven by what looked like a real cowboy!

Movin" on down the road to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. We were invited to attend the first "Cowboy Church" in this town out at the Wildwood Horse Stables. The service was provided by real honest to goodness Rodeo Cowboys and we completed the afternoon with a Gospel concert! Way too much fun!

Then the road took us to Chattanooga Tennessee, where we were the guests of Sandra and Tom Frederick who used to live in California and attended the church we belonged to. We had a Sunday morning concert at Standifer Gap Baptist Church. We also provided a Country Western afternoon concert at Creekside @ Shallowford, a Senior Residential Community in Chattanooga.
